Dog cup cakes Please Subscribe dft.ba Sub our Vlog Channel dft.ba Prep Time: 10 mins Cooking time: 25-30 mins Ingredients 1 cup whole wheat flour 3/4 rolled oats 3/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (NO pie pumpkin) 1 medium apple - peeled and small diced 1 teaspoon cinnamon 3 eggs Frosting ingredients 1 package of cream cheese 2 - 3 tablespoons apple sauce small treats for toppers Directions: First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Next you want to mix all of your dry ingredients together in one bowl. Mix oats (you can plus them in a food processor to make them smaller if you like, that is what I did), cinnamon, and flour together. In another bowl, mix your wet ingredients. Mix the pumpkin, apple sauce, eggs (slightly beaten), and apple. Slowly combine and mix together the wet and dry ingredients. Scoop mixture into a greased muffin tin. Pile the cupcakes up high as they will not rise, and they are dense! Bake for 25 - 30 mins until you see the tops just barely starting to brown. Remove from the over, transfer to a cooling rack, and the cool completely (you can leave them overnight if you wish). To make the frosting, beat together the cream cheese with 2 tablespoons of apple sauce. If the frosting is not smooth enough, add another tablespoon of apple sauce. Muffins: 2 cups shredded carrots 3 eggs 1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 cup rolled oats 3 cups whole wheat flour Frosting: 8 oz. low fat cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened Instructions: Muffins: Preheat oven to 350° F Lightly spray cups of muffin tin. In a large bowl stir together the carrots, eggs and applesauce. Set aside. In another medium bowl whisk together the cinnamon, oats and flour. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients. Stir until well blended. Spoon mixture into muffin tin. The dough will be thick, so you may wet your fingers to press the dough into place. The dog cupcake will not rise very much, so do not worry about over filling the muffin tin. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting or serving. Frosting: Blend both ingredients with a hand mixer until well blended. Spoon into a pastry bag for easy decorating. Carob Chip Ice Cream Ingredients: 2 6oz containers of plain yogurt (low or non fat) 1 Tbsp. Honey 1/3 cup of carob chips Instructions: Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl until well combined. My homemade dog food recipe

UPDATE TO RECIPE, PLEASE READ: Since i made this video, i made a few minor changes basically adding more a little more meat content, the cooking method is still the same, and with doing 24oz portions, i am getting 18 days worth of food per batch. Here is the updated version- 3lb's chopped meat, 2lb's ground turkey, 5lb's gizzards and hearts diced, 2lb's frozen pea's and carrot's, 1lb diced beef liver 4 1/2lb's brown rice, 1-15oz can diced beets w/juice. Brief directions; Brown chopped meat and ground turkey, then drain fat, next in a 12qt stock pot, combine all ingredients and enough water to make like a very thick soup, then cook on low heat about 1 1/2 to 2 hours stirring occasionally. You will want it to reduce to the consistency in the video. I portion it in qt size baggies and put 24oz per baggy; thats the recommended amount per day for a 75lb active dog. With this batch, i got 18 days worth, and the cost was roughly $20-$25.
